Ogre Version

Hi,

I have succeded to run a few exemples of Ogre on a GLOFIISH with no graphic accelerator.

This forum was quite helpful

Current Ogre Add On for Pocket PC is derived from Ogre version 1.0.
Will the Ogre Add On be upgraded ?

Hi Litrois,

The upgrade to support 1.6 would be quite a bit of work. A lot of the underlying libraries for Ogre were switched to libraries that supported better licensing models, so at least one or two would need to be ported to PocketPC. Additionally, the architecture of Ogre changed to separate out input handling and some other aspects of games from the core engine itself. And lastly the test projects have started to focus on shader demos and other things that PocketPC can't support. Ogre 1.0 had a lot of low rez art that worked reasonably well on the smaller platform.

Our studio continues to be very busy, so unfortunately I don't think this is something I can take on anytime soon.
