I can't hear a sound

I have a problem. When I've succesfully compiled the project. The program starts normally but, I can't hear a thing.
I've searched through the ogre.log and found that it said the following: "Unable to get OpenAL Minor Version number"
I'd like to know what I can do about this.

Yes I have, you mean the oalinst.exe right?

I also have the OpenAL sdk installed both through the source and the installer from softpedia.
But I only set the search paths to the softpedia one, so that can't be it.

I've tried the other OpenAL for ogre and then I did got sound, but it was very noisy and also very hard to hear. And I believe it was even played slower then it should've.
So now I try this addon, but for some reason I think it can't find OpenAL.

I tried some demo's and OpenAL tests and they all worked fine so it's probably not my OpenAL redist.

Yes, they work fine. My project runs DirectX fine too.
I'm using DirectX 11.
But DirectX doesn't have anything to do with OpenAL right? Cause that's the main problem

Your debug version of the TestDemo doesn't write a log, so I can't post that. And the text in the screenshot is Dutch, "Kan toegangspunt van procedure (...) niet vinden in DLL-bestand" means "Can't find entrancepoint in procedure (...) in DLL-file"

Ah okay, you have an incompatibility between your dll's, ensure you compile OgreOggSound and the TestDemo against the same version of OGRE, then copy the updated dll's into the relase/debug folders.

Do you have multiple versions of OgreOggSound/OGRE on your system, check the project paths..

Yep I got the OgreMain.dll and the RenderSystem_Direct3D9.dll from the OgreSDK/bin/release folder.
The ogreoggsound.dll i got from the ogreoggsound/lib folder.

The Ogremain.dll and the RenderSystem_Direct3D9.dll were already built, but that shouldn't be a problem right?

But the biggest problem is actually the one in the first post. Why isn't the application finding the OpenAl minor version?

haha yeah, as to why OpenAL isn't being found I dunno, can you try debugging the init function yourself to see if you can extract more detailed information about the error message maybe?

If you are using SVN, I've just committed a log message for the Major/Minor version check, maybe that will point to a specific problem?

How are you initialising OgreOggSound?
