Binary Demo - Safe mode?

Hello all,

I know that this has been asked lots of times before, but still:

Is there any easy and safe way to get the Binary Demo from http://tuan.kuranes.free.fr/Ogre.html to run without creating loads of directory structures all over my harddisk?

All I need is a working demo, since I don´t want to develop stuff at the Moment.

I´ve been trying the whole day to get Mapsplitter to run but all I get is the well-known, often-described error messages about weird directory structures.

First it says that the Zip File wasn´t found, so I changed
Zip=../../Media/packs/OgreCore.zip

to

ZIP=OgreCore.zip

since there is an OgreCore.zip in the actual directory, anyway.

Ok, first error message gone, loads to go...

It´d be nice to have a Demo to extract, copy stuff from datasrc.zip, run Mapsplitter and have fun. Easy, fast and presentation ready...

Thanks in advance for the help...

If you just want a demo scene with terrain, download DWARF from http://www.projectwish.com

It won't contain your terrain, but it will give you the demo you are looking for.

Ya, I just re-downloaded them to test and it didn't work out of the box. I didn't attempt to fix it either.

Thanks for the replies, guys

I´ll test Dwarf this evening since my Office PC is a little too slow to handle it.

And Tuan, thanks for the new Binary Demo.
