hi all

i need any tool allow me to get nxs models ... i can't export that extension from any 3d modeling tools
i have tried flour 0.4 ... but it didn't work

any suggestions... help mee plz

Export to Ogre xml mesh, then convert with that ruby tool, then load into flower.


Or you could use one of those millions of NXS exporters for 3DsMax, Maya, etc.

There should be one given on the PhysX download website.


Like I said; the alternative way is to export your mesh as an Ogre Mesh.xml, then use the Ruby script to convert it into a more suitable file format (flower) then use Flour to convert it for you. It's long winded but works.

finally i manged to get flour to work

but the result of . flower which is .nxs ..is empty

0 KB

do you have any idea of that

Can you at least post what you typed in? What the mesh.xml file looks like (not all of it), etc.

i used 3d max to convert .3ds models to .mesh

and use blender to export .flower using the same .3ds model

then i used flour to get .nxs

They have to be in the .mesh.xml fileformat, not .mesh.

is that will affect nxs ??

as i know we convert from .flower to .nxs


if so .. 3d max exporter only export .mesh

do u have any suggestions ?

I don't have 3DsMax. I don't have the money, or would want to spend the money on such a expensive piece of software. So I haven't used it.

All I know is, there should be;

a) A .nxs exporter provided by Ageia or Nvidia.
b) A Ogre exporter that can export to a .mesh.xml, which then can be converted into a .flower, then finally into a .nxs

ok .. nw i used belnder exporter and xmlconverter to have model.mesh.xml
but when i loaded it to 3d max to get .flower ... i got error message not proper format

so ... could you tell me what are the steps of having mode.mesh.xml using blender correctly
or what else i can use instead of 3d max to have .flower

and i didn't find .nxs exporter from nvidia or ageia

ok sorry for my bad English .. and excuse me I'm really in bad situation

The steps are :

I have model.3ds " out of 3d max"

1- I imported .3ds to blender and exported it to .mesh.xml
- also i imported it to 3d max to export .mesh

" advice me which to use "

2- in case of exported from 3d max : i imported .mesh" of 3d max " to blender to export .flower

3- then I used Flour to convert .flower to .xns

now .. I want to import .mesh.xml blender ... how can I do that ?

finally
1- I used blender exporter to export .mesh.xml
2- then i used ogrexmltoflower tool to convert to flower
3- after that I used Flour 0.4.8 to convert to .nxs
now I have 2 models for .. triangle mesh .nxs and cloth .xm

Thanks again and forgive me for being annoying

excuse me I have last question .. How can edit the scale of cloth item ?
