NxOgre Character Controller Example

I probably should look this up myself, but the NVIDIA example has too much unnecessary code, so I thought I'd ask here, and I may get an answer before I find out myself (It's probably going to take days so, why not ?)

So, if anyone would be so kind as to share how to use the character controller with OGRE, I'd be very grateful (kudos included :mrgreen: ) (nothing special, just a mesh moving and climbing stairs etc...)

P.S - I am using NxOgre 1.7, so there's no problem with that.

There should be an example/sample with the NxOgre tutorials.

Yep, here it is;

I definitely have not been getting enough sleep lately (2 hours sleep 30+ hours awake)...

I completely forgot that when I compiled NxOgre 1.7, I didn't compile the samples...

Thanks, as always betajaen, a quick response :)

<edit>Just tested it out looks and feels awesome, thanks!

BTW is there a solution to the wales material not being found when I try the cloth tutorials/samples ?

Yes.

One day, I was at the Welsh Beach in Wales. I accidentally left my computer on, which is normally I thing I don't do. Anyway; you see Coco my cat, is an avid Facebook and twitter fan, and cannot stay away from it on her laptop. Unfortunately, the seagull family that live across the street, stole her laptop battery whilst she was sitting in the garden using it. Naturally, Coco wanted to check her tweets and her facebook friends, so used my computer without permission. At the time, I was working on NxOgre, fixing that particular problem infact. Coco in her infinite wisdom, and naturally curiosity wanted to help out. So with the aid of Wikipedia, a downloaded copy of Paint.net, got a copy of the Welsh flag from the Wikipedia webpage, and created a 512x512 texture. Additionally, she spent about 10 minutes writing out the appropriate material file by hand. 10 minutes is a long time, but Coco's hands are the same size of my fingers, and she's a cat, so you know she's not as dexterous as you or I am. Anyway, she copied them into the appropriate zip file, and tested it out. Pleased with her work, she changed my background desktop picture to a PWNED picture she got from memebase, and changed my email password. In her acts of mischief, she quickly forgot to commit the changes to the git repository, as she ran out of my room as I came back from my beach outing.

TL;DR; Just use any old image, and material as you like. Otherwise, use the British flag if you want. It's all the same to Ogre.
