Where (really) do I download Physx SDK?

I registered at devsupport.ageia.com 6 weeks ago.
The promised email response in 1-3 days never arrived, yet I can log in the site.
I can read this FAQ: http://devsupport.ageia.com/ics/support ... eptID=1949

which tells me

To see the downloads, you need to have registered for an account and signed in once it is approved.

If you are signed in and cannot see the downloads, you most likely need to expand the downloads folder by clicking the +Downloads link in the left hand pane of the portal.

However, the left navbar does not contain a +Downloads entry -- it only has "Developer Knowledge Base" with a subentry called "public". No email address or BBS link is provided that I inquire about how to unstick my registration. It won't even let me register anew.

Any ideas?

Can you reach the Request Support tab, then submit a ticket. If you can you contact them that way. If not, just register again under a different e-mail account.

I don't work for Ageia, and I don't think they read the Ogre forums. So posting here may do nothing at all. But try what I said anyway.

Good idea. I'd not considered an administrative hitch as grist for a ticket, but I did that just now.

Ageia are pretty quick on support, but beware it is the Easter Weekend, so you may not find any resolution until Tuesday ;)

If you're idling on an IRC network, tell me where and tell me your nickname. I can DCC some stuff.

Actually you shouldn't. Tone has to agree to the EULA before downloading and using it, and you'll be breaking your agreement with the EULA by distrubuting the SDK.

I'm sorry to be a bit of a lawyer with this, but Ageia does provide the SDK for free these days, and spreading it around with their permission can make them a little angry.

I've checked the EULA and it says:
3. Redistribution; Physics Applications. Any redistribution of the PhysX SDK or portions thereof must be subject to an end user license agreement including language that (a) prohibits the end user from modifying, reproducing, de-compiling, reverse engineering or translating the PhysX SDK; (b) prohibits the end user from distributing or transferring the PhysX SDK other than as part of the Physics Application; (c) disclaims any and all warranties on behalf of AGEIA and its affiliated companies and licensors; (d) disclaims, to the maximum extent permitted by law, AGEIA’s, its affiliated companies and its licensors' liability for all damages, direct or indirect, incidental or consequential, that may arise from any use of the PhysX SDK and/or Physics Application; and (e) requires the end user to agree not to export the PhysX SDK and/or Physics Application, directly or indirectly, in violation of any U.S. laws.
So as long as I supply the EULA text with the binaries there shouldn't be much of a problem as far as I can tell.

Would you risk something nasty from Ageia so that Tone can get his SDK a few days early? I certaintly wouldn't.

The EULA and the agreement page are there for a reason, else I would supply the SDK with NxOgre if I could. But since I shouldn't, I won't.

Probably not, although the EULA doesn't specifically forbid it. Maybe it's an idea to contact them about this, perhaps it is allowed to distribute the SDK with NxOgre after all.

Ageia promptly tweaked whatever was wedged about my registration. I am downloading PhysX 7.03.21 (is this the one I should be getting for nxOgre? so hard to tell whether the Wiki is showing me recent info on the nxOgre page, as it was last updated 10 months ago)

0.6SVN for PhysX 2.7.x - For experenced users.
0.4RC3 for PhysX 2.6.x - For new users.

I'd recommend 0.4RC3 and 2.6.x for you.
