I'm not a lawyer or work for Ageia, but as far as I understand it's:-

- Free to use, if your application/game is Free.

- Costs if you want to sell your game, you'll have to purchase a licence, which is around $50k USD. However it's just not a licence, I'm sure Ageia will support and help you greatly anyway.

The full license should be bundled with the code anyway.

Hmmmm..I thought it was free as long as you made 'meaningful' use of the PhysX chip in your code and contacted the company prior to publishing (presumbly for propaganda purposes..haha). I'll have to go back and read that agreement again.

I've heard something about it's Free to sell, if you use the PhysX chip in a significant way but I think then it's up to Aegia to define "significant".

But it's best to contact Ageia if you plan to sell your application to see if you can work something out together :D

Yes but any alternative Dark Physics. It's only 50 USD for free/commercial using! Unfortunately you can't buy this license separated.

Well it's DarkBasic + PhysX license, not PhysX separate unfotunately. If I want to PhysX for commercial low-budget game I must using DarkBasic system. Ageia is 50K USD with some free engines. (But a low-budget project about 3K USD. So not really.)

3K? Where did you get that information?

Ageia has a cool system with their: use the PhysX hardware for better effects/gameplay and get your license for free if a grandma can see the difference in the two different version (with/out physx card)

But a special indie license for low buged games would really be awesome!
So I'm a bit curious about the 3k - although they are a bit high too - but much more reachable than 50k.

From publishers.
Low category games: about 1000 to 3000 USD. (complete project of course)

Ahhhh. Publisher's the final piece in the puzzle. I assume they would fork up the other 47 thousand for you assuming that your game would make that amount?

Heh, it's final puzzle but that is the entity. (Or I publish the game myself in shareware version. I know who earn money with tetris game about 1k USD ) So I asked 1-2 persons how did they make a low category commercial game. They are used totally free libraries, developing tools, and file formats (for example mp3 audio format is not free!). Some publishers buy 3D max, VC and etc licences, but it is extraordinary.

Now, I working on beginner game it hasn't got phisics. I interested in phisics engines, because I will want to game with vehicles. Important speed, knowledge and costing/not costing (how much is it).
I interested in Ageia low budget license, but I can't look for it. :?
