I did a python-ogre module for Mikachu's Ogre Procedural:

If anyone is interested I'll zip up and send to andy (if he is still about).

Yes, I am interested!
It will be very useful once intrusion/extrusion/split... and paint textures have been implemented.
Hope you can keep up working on this dermont!

The long term goal of our project (openrtss.com) is to create a game development framework for PO.
An advanced world editor will be an important part of this project (inc. Terrain Creation, Advanced Foliage, Customisable Environment, Particles, Triggers...).

I intend to start by porting ogitor to P-O.
Would you by any chance be interested in working together towards this goal?
(P.S: Procedural module would sit nicely within pyOgitor)

Sorry I'm not really interested in Ogitor. Your best bet would be to ask on the Ogitor forums. AFAIK one of the Ogitor developers is a python-ogre user, maybe they would be interested.

Out of interest what are you plans regarding Ogitor/Editor? Are you planning to port everything to python or create a wrapper for Ogitor (and gui PySide-Shiboken) or create a python script plugin?

You could also check other projects for inspiration:

To me OgreKit looks very promising if you are using blender, don't think it has an editor per se but I think you can view your blender file directly to an Ogre window as you go. Maybe this could be something that could be considered when python-ogre for Python3 is stable. Not too sure if they have their own python wrapper.

i didnt really get what this thing does.. odes it generate new environments on the fly as one passes by? that would be cool for cities or roguelikes.

Not to get totally off topic, but you may want to check out Guide from MV3D for the UI. It's a cross system databinding GUI engine. We've been thinking about making it into its own project, but in any case, it makes creating GUIs really easy. It works for CEGUI and wxPython right now, but adding Qt or whatever would be pretty straight forward.

Back on topic.. I'd definitely be interested in seeing Ogre Procedural as part of Python-Ogre!

The patch for python-ogre is here, if you want to try it out.

This looks great. I'd love to have this in python ogre.
Thanks!
