Have you thought of maintaining one package which would contain all currently maintained tools ?
Here, on OpenSuse12.3 most ogre tools ( ogitor, ogreMesthy ...etc. ) ain't maintained in any package ...
One have to download and configure , and compile on it's own. Now that's not the packaging community ... but if you put some pressure on distros community to maintain such package along OgreMain, OgrePaging, OgreSamples etc as the OgreTools package.
What's your opinion on that ?

Re: Ogre tools Uberpackage
"Put some pressure" on package maintainers ... what would that even look like?
If you want packages for your distro, contact the maintainer (or whatever the process for your distro dictates) and ask if they need help. It's not a top-down process where the ogre project gets to dictate terms to a bunch of distros.

Re: Ogre tools Uberpackage
Sure, but things were much simpler for them if they have actually package OgreTools with one cmake and all the programs .
EDIT: This is some tragedy http://www.ogre3d.org/tikiwiki/tiki-ind ... +DCC+Tools most of those tools are outdated , even if there is no lablel " outdated " in the program info . <<Sight >>>
