That's the first time I ever hear something like that, seriously. Even the worst case I remember were games that at least let the user change they controls from Preset A to Preset B, but config files... err.. that certainly wouldn't look like the right approach to the average gamer.
No, not really. UDK games always does this newer games (released this year) such as "Q.U.B.E." "fireburst" had the same config file for changing controls. Personally I feel that changing control is one time process so config file is not a bad way.
A product must be user friendly so i agree there should be UI to configure the controls in stained. I will try to push this in next update.
Stained is in the latest Indie Royale bundle called as the"The debut 3 Bundle", so you can get it and 4 other games at the same time at $4.45 or lesser. It was $4.45 at the time of writing this.
