Linux port released on desura
Salvation Prophecy is running nicely on my Ubuntu 12.04 box (32-bit).
If there are any linux users who would like to give the linux port a test run, fire me an email: jabberwocky (AT) salvationprophecy.com
Please only do so if you're willing to send me a bit of playtesting info (system info, log files, etc) in case of problems.
It's a long way from being tested on all flavors/distros of linux, so it might be a bumpy ride.
It does not yet run properly on 64-bit linux - I'm looking into this. I can't build a 64-bit version of the game because of pre-compiled closed source libs (PhysX), so the solution seems to involve stuffing a 64-bit system full of 32-bit libs. Linux gurus welcome to chime in.
Also, if you're interested in any details of my linux port work, let me know! I'm happy to chat about it.
(And, as always, steam greenlight votes
are very appreciated - the game is getting closer!)
