Cant build tutorial framework 1.9 Linux

I downloaded the "all in one download"

I then ran

Is anyone able to build the wiki tutorial framework on linux? If so, what did you do to get around this error?

That cmake project needs a bit of updating for 1.9. You can find the fixes in a few forum posts, but I'll outline them.

In CMakeLists.txt you need to add the Overlay component to include_directories() and target_link_libraries(). If you used the terrain component or any other component you'd have to repeat this process:

Then in BaseApplication.cpp you need to update the SdkTrayManager which changed constructor params:

EDIT: I went ahead and updated that wiki page, adding a new zip with the changes needed for Ogre 1.9. Hopefully that helps :)

But I have boost 1.55, not the 1.54 its asking for. Doing a pacman -Syu today I noticed boost was updated. Now I need to figure out how to install older packages.

I'm able to get it running now, partially. I had to rebuild Ogre as the first build was done against boost 1.54, the rebuild used the installed 1.55. I even copied over my plugins.cfg, and when the first little ogre window opened I selected a non full screen resolution.

However, I now get *** Initializing OIS *** "Segmentation fault (core dumped)" as the next line immediately following all the output linked below when running ./OgreApp

That worked, but I get more errors. 4 days and no approval from the mods on my two replies. So here it is below....

I after the make install, I went to the dist/bin folder and then ran ./OgreApp. A window opened, i made some settings then clicked accept. Then, during OIS init I get Segmentation fault (core dumped), see below. Any advice? Im on a laptop. Either external mouse or not plugged in I get the same result.

That exact line is now where it crashes and I get a segmentation fault. CodeBlocks doesnt give me any output when debugging for some reason, breakpoints arent hit either. Any advice?

That's my bad ... I forgot to initialize the overlay system, so it's asserting. In BaseApplication.h you add a new member:

Ogre::OverlaySystem *mOverlaySystem;
And in BaseApplication.cpp you add this code below the creation of the scene manager in BaseApplication::chooseSceneManager:

    mOverlaySystem = new Ogre::OverlaySystem();
    mSceneMgr->addRenderQueueListener(mOverlaySystem);
I re-attached the new zip and edited the wiki page. I actually had time to test it this go around, and it does run ... sorry about that :oops:

I just build the Tutorial Framework on Windows (Win7 x64, Ogre 1.9, VS2010 ULT).
It had the Same issues.
