gpus_ReturnGuiltyForHardware crash IOS 7.1

Hello ,

I am getting some severe crashes with Ogre 1.9.0 and IOS 7.1 .
I have vanilla ogre template app in Xcode for IOS 7.1 . I am using Ogre 1.9.0 with hg tag: 4578da5bf5b00fdf023b87e98099d647c5cb92ab
Everything works under the simulator without any errors or warnings when I try it on the device I am getting a crash with gpus_ReturnGuiltyForHardwareRestart error which is hard to debug.

That's a bug that's popped up several times. It's annoying because of how little information is given by the call stack. My guess is that it is related to mipmap generation. Perhaps try switching to PVRTC textures. It'll work around that and also make the app size smaller.
