Looking good Xavyiy! Runs ~30 fps on my Ati X1400. I was wondering, are you going to release the editor along with the 0.2 release?

Seems like you compiled with an extremely new version of DirectX, even my gaming rig isn't up to date enough . Missing d3dx_36.

There's the d3dx9_36.dll download link: http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-f ... l?d3dx9_36

I don't think because I've to rewritte the noise/module system and save/load from config file(generate by Hydrax editor) will have to be rewritte.., It will be release with Hydrax 0.3 I hope before this summer, and I've planed implementing underwater effects for the 0.4 release, in August/September. Sorry for the editor :S

About framerates, don't worry because the projected grid complexity in the demo binary is very high 256x256 and all Hydrax components are activated(foam, sun, smooth transitions, depth effects, caustics, etc..).

Heh, thanks for the DLL!

Absolutely beautiful, that's really all I can say!

(~70-80 FPS with 8x AA, consistent FP, 1024x768 on a modded old-school 8800GTS)

Why still 0.1? Is it old demos or wrong names?

Wow that looks awesome! I wonder how underwater viewing will be implemented, would probably take a lot of work.

Sorry for the bandwidth exceeded!, I've just returned of my holidays, there's the megaupload link:
http://www.megaupload.com/es/?d=8420O8S6

Thanks for opinions, tomorrow I want to release Hydrax 0.2 version.

I think that I'm going to use a compositor, using the depth(& caustics) map to calculate depth colour and caustics and use a depth of field for blur the water, to be more realistic I think it would be nice distort the final image with a normal map to simulate water refraction. I haven't tried it before but I think it's a good start point.

As some people say, at the moment there's only a preview demo of the 0.2 version, tomorrow all will be updated and 0.2 version will be released ;)

Hi!

Because of the good reception that Hydrax has had and the enormous number of downloads and visits, we must to close temporarily the access to the server for the great cost that this supposes. It will return to be available 5th of april.

In order that you get an idea of the matter, the bandwidth has risen around 420 % of the previous month.

Please, talk to Xavyiy to look for alternative ways of download.

Thanks to all.

EDIT: The service has been reestablished, :)

Thanks a lot!

They follow the pattern of the wind, ya' see
Cause they got no place to be
That's why I'm starting with me

Very nice job! These effects are really looking great right now. That endless ocean effect is... hypnotic!

I was also wondering -- is the Demo sample project supposed to look the same as the downloadable binary? Mine looks very different (much, much darker and a lot less clear.) I might just have something misconfigured, but I was wondering if these two apps are basically the same thing.
