Import Ogre .mesh/.scene into 3DSMax

Import Ogre .mesh/.scene into 3DSMax
Is it possible/easy to "un-export" Ogre format files, which were exported by 3DSMax using a plugin like OgreMax, back into 3DSMax? If for instance you lose the original files and need to get the geometry back? I understand lots of information is not exported to .mesh but in terms of getting the geometry and keyframes, how can this be done?

May you can use assimp to transform the models into a different format.
