We just released the first version of our Ogre Mesh Exporter. It exports to .mesh or .xml, optionally exporting the .material file as well (including multilayer materials and lightmaps). Get it from the plugin download section on http://www.delgine.com .
As this is just the very first version, there are bound to be bugs and missing features. Any questions, feedback, criticism, wishes, bug reports or thoughts you might have are more than welcome. I'll keep my eyes on the Ogre forums, but there is a dedicated topic on our own forums as well (http://www.delgine.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=540). Thanks in advance for any feedback

Well, it worked - just like they say: I exported that castle and loaded it in meshviewer. Looked good.
Must say that DeleD has progressed lately!
Unfortunately I cannot test it much further, because my OpenGL is broken (I need a new machine)
