The last sentence of the paragraph "Free Look" stops abruptly near the beginning of the sentence (shows only "You must call" and doesn't complete the thought). Sorry, I'm just learning or I'd attempt to complete it.

If the last point in the spline does not fulfill with the wantedDistance restriction, the last segment is not copied to splineDest. Possible solution:
if j == splineSrc.getNumPoints() -1) && (length < wantedDistanceSquared?

According to this paper, I met this problem "no suitable conversion function from "const Ogre::MeshPtr" to "Ogre::Mesh*" exists" when I called the function "getMeshInformation()".

||is inaccurate||License states "LGPL". At least some source code files would contradict this, as would other places on the ogre Wiki. Not wanting to change it myself due to being new to the code and it being a legal matter.
