Installing the Ogre SDK On Linux

This section is for developers willing to install a precompiled Software Development Kit (SDK) under Linux platform. Packages are available for Debian, Gentoo, Fedora, Ubuntu. Unix users typically compile their own sources for almost all software, including Ogre. However pre-built binaries are available for a handful of distributions. See below for yours. If you don't find your package, and really don't want to build from source you may be able to convert one of these packages with something like alien.
