From Ogre Wiki
I'm from Germany and use Mogre for a study project.
It's a visualization environment for underwater vehicles which are navigated by external behavior simulators (e.g. implemented with Matlab/Simulink). Also the software simulates sonar sensors to give a feedback to the simulators (if they need). For this I use a combination of ray query and collision detection by Newton 2.0 physics library.
Look to CViewVR for more informations about my project. (German)
A more detailed description (mostly about the sonar simulation) I published (together with my tutor) in a paper of the international marine related conference COMPIT. For this look at page 150..164 of this PDF file (50MB!) By the way - my publication got an award for one of the best (of this conference) (English).
I like to work with Mogre (since summer 2007). The forum and wiki helps much.
So I want to give back some of my experiences to the community by correcting and building up the wiki. I'm surprised about myself how many hours I spend for expandig the wiki: Special:Contributions/Beauty (1600+ edits)
You also can help. Just little contributions will let it grow
Messages to me are possible by forum pm or e-mail to beautyod at gmx .de
(In e-mail subjects the word "Ogre" should be included. Then it can't be marked as spam.)
