We’ve got more new screenshots for you, this time of the dot3 bumpmapping feature (thanks once again to cTh for his work on this). This per-pixel feature operates without the need for vertex or pixel shaders, and will operate on any card which supports cube mapping and dot3 blending operations. Of course, when we support Cg, which is planned for the very near future, more elements of this effect can be offloaded to GPU for increased performance, but this technique shows that you can achieve the same results as some pixel shader demos using standard fixed-function operations.
