Some of you have been wondering what the mysterious new logo in the bottom-left is about, and now is the time to explain.

A little over a year ago, Steve (sinbad), Thomas (temas) and James (_mental_) set up Torus Knot Software Ltd
(TKS), a company dedicated to providing services such as consultancy
and contract development to companies using or thinking of using OGRE
in their commercial projects. In the intervening time we've been
working quietly but successfully with a small number of clients whilst
working towards the 1.0.0 milestone; now that has been achieved, we're
casting the net further.

TKS is comprised of veteran software engineers with a wide range of
experience in the delivery of custom software solutions, and in
addition have unparalleled knowledge of the OGRE internals. The
services we provide means that your company can
access our expertise directly, and have the confidence that your use
of OGRE will be supported by those that know it best. Please contact Steve, Thomas or James for further details; all enquiries will be dealt with in the strictest confidence.

To allay any fears: this does not mean OGRE itself is becoming
commercial. Changing the licensing, without agreement of all
contributors, is impossible and we have absolutely no plans to propose it – OGRE will always remain free. TKS is a
financial supporter of OGRE, and our roles in TKS are complementary
to (and separate from) our roles on the OGRE project, and indeed have been for the past year.
TKS is simply providing the kind of complementary services which give companies that
extra bit of confidence when investing in the use of an open-source component like OGRE, which can only be of benefit
to the OGRE project as a whole.
