A few updates from the OGRE community at large:

  • bisco has taken over maintenance of the Maya exporter, and there
are new releases of the exporter for both Maya 6.0 and Maya 6.5 in the
downloads area. With any luck, a Maya 5.0 version will be available
soon too for those of you yet to upgrade.
  • Nogredex, a binding to physics engine Novodex, is now available from ogreaddons
and is being maintained by gfmrose. Nogredex was originally written by
rocketman, but gfmrose's new version includes support for Ogre 1.0.x
and triangle mesh support, among other things.
  • Open Physics Abstraction Layer (OPAL) is a high-level physics interface using ODE, and they have released 0.3.0 demonstrating rendering through OGRE.
