I was having problems with the precompiled dll's and the Ogre SDK.
The issues were due to the Ogre SDK having moved onto version 1.2.1 whereas the the Precompiles are still at version 1.2.
I've since downloaded v1.2 of the SDK (not v 1.2.1) from Sourceforge.net, copied the Precompiled dll's into the OgreSDK\bin\debug directory and then copied everything from this directory into my own projects \bin\debug directory.
Everything's now running smoothly.
