Freeze on startup

Hi,

I just wanted to add OgreAL to our working Ogre3D.

Now our client freezes on statup.

It's not finding any audio decives, have you tried updating your drivers? Did you remember to run the OpenAL redistributable installer?

You will need the non "-dev" versions of those packages too I think. Under Fedora I just did a "yum install openal" and it found it.

For sure, they are automatically installed, too. The devs are the includes (.h), the non-dev are the libraries.

I am not sure. It seems that OpenAL is not able to find your sound device. You may try posting some information on the OpenAL newgroup, they seem to be pretty helpful.
