Hi,

I maybe repeating this question but how do I compile and setup Bullet and OgreBullet?

I have downloaded Bullet 2.64 and OgreBullet from the cvs. How do I go about compiling Bullet and OgreBullet?

Do I need the Ogre3D source to compile both packages? Do I need to set any env variables?

Can anybody help me on this? Please!

Thanks.

Niteen.

PS:- I have also tried to pose the same question about ODE and OgreOde but I haven't got much response (maybe because of New Year).

If you can help me with any of the two, I would be very grateful

What platform are you building OgreBullet on? Have you looked at the: OgreBullet_readme.txt included in the OgreBullet top level directory?

We need more information to be able to help you.

Thanks Mike (Libolt).

I am using Windows 2000, Ogre3D Eihort 1.4.2., Bullet 2.64 and OgreBullet from the cvs.

I read the OgreBullet_readme.txt file.

Now I have compiled the Bullet sdk and I get the .lib files in the lib folder. The demos are running fine.

Don't you get .dll files for Bullet library?

I understood about the BULLET_HOME env variable.

On to OgreBullet.
I downloaded the cvs version to compile against Eihort 1.4.2. Should I place the whole OgreBullet folder I downloaded into C:\OgreSDK? Do I need ogrenew (Ogre3D Source code)?

What does this mean from OgreBullet_readme.txt?
3) you have to set the BULLET_HOME envirronment variable in Windows to the corresponding directory.
If you don't use the one shipped, you'll have to make sure Bullet is compiled against
the DLL version of msvcrt.
Compile with "RunTime Library : Multi-threaded DLL (/MD)" and "RunTime Library : Multi-threaded Debug DLL (/MDd)"

I hope this helps.

Thanks.

Niteen

I apologize for reviving an old topic with no intention of posting anything useful, but...why were you using win2k in 2008? lol
