Collision for a character

Hello,

I want to know how to you proceed to simulate the collision for a character(the ninja.mesh in this case).

I analyzed the Character Control Demo and the Ragdoll Demo. But the first is a cylinder and the other should be too hard to keep the position and the orientation of an arm the same as in the mesh.

How should i do?
