Theora Video plugin is a continuation of pjcast's work. The old plugin ran okay, had problems with frame dropping, but was generally stable.
After a few days of hacking, I've implemented frame precaching which solved the frame dropping problem (I managed to run a 1280x528 movie smoothly on a 2 year old laptop!).
My long-term goal for this project is to create a fully functional and extensible plugin that would eventually become Ogre's primary video plugin.
Theora codec is open-source,free and multi-platform, which makes it a perfect choice for ogre users.
