Hello everybody, and first of all excuse me for my horrible english (im from spain)
My team is programming somethings for PLSM, but i have one question:
PLSM uses heightmaps, but...in the future, would be possible do fiords, or make ondulations/caves in a precipice? nowadays it is only possible making the terrain in a modelling 3d program, but i thought i would be a great thing to do those kind of things...here is a shot to explain...

You may want to check out the Overhang Terrain Scene Manager demo on the Showcase forum of the Main Forums.

It allows you to make caves, cliffs, and other oddly shaped geological formations that you'd normally have to model in a 3d program.

There are some graphical oddities that happen if you use an ATI card but I believe the technology itself is based on voxels.
