Hi guys,
I have installed the demo and the datasrc succesfully . map splitter runs great but when I try to run the demo I get this message:

was missing some CG shaders in zip.
Fixed in downloadable Demo and SDK.

Found another problem, and updated source and bin SDK(which takes me 10mn of upload time), but cannot reproduce this particular one.
So I need info on your video card.
Please post ogre.log info (capabilities and warning/error part only, and with the very latest SDK.)

Hi ,
Question : Can I use the .dll from the binary ogre , or should I compile them myself ? What do you use? ( I tried both and it doesnot work either way)
BTW , the binary demo is aldo missing : Plugin_CgProgramManager.dll , Plugin_PagingLandScapeSceneManager2.dll , Plugin_ParticleFX.dll.

if you use source plsm2 sdk use binary from OGRE sdk, not pslm2 demo.

Seems to me you downloaded a partial zip.
(demo zip should be 17,3 MB)

Is that one of those Intel "graphic card" ?

Can you confirm that you runs on DirectX, no OpenGL ?
Problem is that Intel is badly reporting its capabilities (shaders), which is a sort of lying. So some codepath are activated that should not be, resulting on bad crash.
In each terrain Config file you'll have to disable VertexCompression (at least) and some TextureMode won't work or crash, so if you encounter this, disable them too in terrain config file (most notably "splatting5" and "splattingShader").

Hi.
I see in the config file the
TextureFormatSupported16=SplattingShader
And the
TextureFormatSupported15=Splatting5
but can not see any vertexCompression. How can I disable this ?
(Sorry if the question sounds silly but I am new to ogre)
I tried to run it both on openGl and DirectX and I was getting the same error on both.
What is HorizonSettings parameter? Should it be in one of the config files?

Hi, I had the exact same issue as yaron. I tried it using both an ATI Radeon 7500 and an nVidia Quadro NVS, but both threw the same exception. When I disabled VertexCompression, it worked fine.

Oups, I may have made a mistake, fixed in cvs and will update source.
Anyway it does no change anything there, as it code fix disable it for your cards
