LightMap and ShadowMap

Do these work? I noticed alpes.gen.cfg had LightMap=yes enabled, and sun direction, but the generated .Light. files were all just a shade of grey. I added ShadowMap=yes and it generated .Shadow files which were white.

It worked once so it shouldn't be that hard to solve (a scale problem I guess)...
I didn't really maintain-test them as I did go for real-time shadow map.
