What is the The Portal Connected Zone Scene Manager (PCZSM) ?

The PCZSM is a Scene Manager for Ogre3d. The PCZSM allows rendering of scenes with varying topological hierarchies efficiently. For example, you can render mixed indoor & outdoor scenes. The scenes are divided into "Zones". Each zone has it's own organization (PCZSM currently can handle flat, octree, and octree-based terrain zones). By using portals to connect zones, the scene can be rendered and traversed efficiently. Furthermore, portals & zones can be moved and dynamically created or destroyed. This allows for very flexible scenes.

What is the purpose of this subforum?

Since the PCZSM went "official" as of Ogre 1.60 (meaning it became part of the official distribution) I thought it would be a good idea to get a dedicated subforum set up to answer questions, get input, notify people of changes, etc. Sinbad concurred, so here we are.
