Compiling worked, but running...

i'm using ogre 1.7 for vs2008 with the newest ogreNewt from SVN

I've build my program without errors, but when i try to run and accept the ogre startup screen (i use openGL) i get some time of black screen and then it shuts down.
This is in the ogre.log, any idea's what's wrong?

Ok this is weird.

So i've actualy got the Release version of Demo_1 running, but only in the OgreNewt\bin\release map. Not in any other place (with the used dll's)
Now when i put my own program's exe & pdb files in this same folder it works!

There must be something wrong with reletive paths or something. Any ideas?

Ogre can't locate cylinder.mesh, thats why its crashes. You need to add the path to your resources.cfg or add the line
Ogre::ResourceGroupManager::getSingleton().addResourceLocation("pathtodirectory","FileSystem");

sometime _before_ you call to load the mesh. OR you need to make sure that cylinder.mesh is in one of your resource group paths and that they are intialized
