ogrenewt on Linux

With many compiling problems, I finally managed to somehow compile ogrenewt on Linux with the codeblocks patch that was posted on this forum. Now, I have some .so files in my /OgreNewt_Main/obj/debug/src directory, and an empty libs directory im my home directory.

The demos weren't compiled, so what am I doing now? Where do I put the compiled files? Is there a way to compile some of the demos that come with ogrenewt? Anyone can tell me how everything must be configured so I can start coding with this amazing physic engine?

I'm only a beginner with ogre3d, the tutorials helped me so far, but ogrenewt looks like an unexplored area on Linux. :/

I did not provide any codeblocks files for the OgreNewt demos, but I imagine it wouldn't be too hard for you to create a codeblocks project yourself. Copy over the demo source, setup the IDE to point to where your OgreNewt headers and libs are, and then build ;)

Good idea, I'll try that, I'm still a beginner with codeblocks, but I think I'll be able to find my way there.

I want to know: does ogrenewt need a specific version of ogre3d to run? I have v1.2 (Dagon) installed right now, is it the good one to use with ogrenewt on Linux, or do I need to install an older version if I don't want conflicts?

Thanks for you kind answer.

should work fine with Dagon.
