[HELP] Hinge working as Spring?

Ok so I have been trying to make a decent rope for too long now.. I have a chain of boxes attached using hinges..


If I try to make it realistic... that is a rope the weights little.. and I attach something heavy to the end of the rope.. it stretches...as they were springs... not real hinges ...

How do I stop that?

have your tried setStifness() on the joints?

I tried with setStifness(1.0f)..but that didn't do it..

why does it act like a spring though?
