Weird behaviour at times whn applying forces

Hi all

You all must've faced this problem, unless I'm doin something really silly.. I apply a force on a ball on press of spacebar. The problem is, sometimes the ball will just shoot away if i tap the spacebar few(3-5) times quickly.. Why is that??
