OgreNewt is dead?

Hi all,
I'd like to ask in the forum if the project OgreNewt is dead.

If answer is yes, I'd like to ask "why?"

It's not dead it's resting. It's been resting for a while. :) Probably because nobody has time for it, and because it's pretty functional as it is.

At the time I try to use OgreNewton, I had to make too many changes to the code and comment more functions. In my opinion if you are a novice like me this wrapper is not fully usable.

I hope that in future the project can begin again with new force. The libraries newton-dynamics are changing.

I still want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to all developers that produce addons in their spare time:

I've been through this also. At first it is a little frustrating, but after a while you realize it's a pretty decent wrapper that you would end up writing yourself anyway.

Nice surprise about this shorter form. Can you tell us what it is you are talking/writing about?
Has any info. about this shorter form been posted before (and i just missed it)?

I still use it and have adapted it to Newton 3.0, but cannot commit it for the moment as I have some custom object pointers in it.

I'm currently adding the new vehicle controller, and after I've finished my game, I'm gonna polish it and make a release of my custom Ogrenewt version.

However, I can upload some code snapshots for any interested people ;)

Hi, im interested in vehicle controller for newer version :) is it working ok? can you please send it?

Ok, here is a wip version of my ogrenewt, you'll have to replace all calls of Platypace::AbstractObject* to Ogre::SceneNode* ;)

The vehicle implementation ins not finished yet, and there are still bugs in julio's controller, although he's working on fixes.

Note that is this is very prototypal for the moment.
