new update when?

Any news as to new updates?
It seems newton 1.6 has been in development for ever, what is going on? I'm wondering

Julio (the author of Newton) is hard at work on it. I've seen some wip videos, it's coming along really great, it should be a big improvement over the current release.

Can't wait. It's still one of the best physics engines out there. I keep hoping that one day we'll see the source .
