I'm new to OgreNewt and have been trying for a day now to install and run OgreNewt, and I am not sure what i'm doing wrong it's probably something small it doesn't seem to work.

The way I have my directories is like this:

H:\ogre\ogrenew <- Ogre SDK!!
H:\ogre\ogreaddons\ogrenewt <-OgreNewt
H:\NewtonSDK <-Newton

I am attempting to use ogre 1.4.6 which when running the ogre examples runs fine, so no problems there. And am using ogrenewt 0.11 newton sdkk 1.5.3

At some point I managed to get the demo 1 project to compile by just including almost every directory in the includes and lib, but when i go to execute the demo1.exe it says missing newton.dll, but I have included newtonsdk\sdk\dll

What I would please like and would appreciate very much is a step by step guide to configuring the 3 so that they work in harmony. (And i mean IDIOT proof step by step guide, cus first time trying to use this.)

Also I am using VS 8.0 sp1 and i dunno whether it makes a difference but if using the source package makes everything work then i'm happy to use it.

Something along the lines of would be very much appreciated because at this point I am pulling my hair out and would very much like to get started on the examples and coding.

Step1: go to ogreaddons\ogrenewt\demo1 and load ogrenewtmain solution
Step2: go to properties of ogrenewt and change setting for "debug/ release /all configurations" to values in Step3
Step3: set includes to "xyz" for Ogrenewtmain? or demo1 etc
Step4: set libs to "zyx" Ogrenewtmain? or demo1 etc
Step5: compile entire solution using eg "debug/debug dll"
Step6: add "xyz" to linker
Step7: set working directory to "xyz"

ggrrrr no matter how i set everything up even though it compiles and links properly when i go to execute the demo it comes up with

"Error the application failed to start because Newton.dll was not found please try reinstalling the application to fix."

already uninstalled and reinstalled newton about 3 times now..... *pulls hair out*

go to H:/newtonsdk then somewhere there you'll see newton.dll copy that over to your /debug and /release folders (where the .exe is )
