Integrating HAPI

Hi all,

I am currently doing a summer project in which I have to integrate haptics into a 3D virtual environment. I would like to use OGRE for the visualisation and it was suggested to me that I should try and integrate the haptics into a physics engine (Newton to be precise) so that "more interesting" things could be done.

So I was hoping that you could give me so ideas of where to start and what kinds of things would have to be done?
