Hi Folks,

I tried to import my GT40 into 3ds max and export as a .mesh, but the oFusion viewport seems to have some corruption: -

A friend tried importing it in 3ds max and it was fine.

Any ideas what I could be doing wrong? Or perhaps its a known issue with 3ds 8 / oFusion?

Thanks for your help
All the best,
Ash

Sorry to reply to my own post, but the same is happening with the example Celica GT4

You should read the tutorials, specially this:

Tutorial 2 - Part 1

In this tutorial we will cover:

environment map
some useful tips when working with imported objects

The GT40 example scene is part of this tutorial, and serves as example of using imported objects

Thanks Lioric,

Managed to get it working better after reading the tutorial.

One thing that i couldn't do was set the Ogre Material (Stage 7. in the tutorial). There is no Ogre Material in the list - I could just find the Ogre Texture Unit type.

Thanks

Ogre material is a material type, and textureUnit is a texmap type

So Ogre material (and technique and pass) will be in the same list as Standard, Multi/Sub-Object

TextureUnit will be in the same list as Bitmap
