Light Attenuation: Can I set it up in MAX and export the settings into OGRE? If so, how do i do it? I have tried (I dont know how to use MAX really so I guessed based on it working in the max viewport and in my baked lightmaps) but it didnt export to OGRE and I had an unlit world as a result. Any ideas? do I need a hotfix of some sort? Is this a bug? Am I just not doing it right?

Download the hotfix from this page

And use the far attenuation setting of the lights

I'm having a problem with the Hotfix applied and the Omni light source in the oFusion viewport (vs. the max viewport). The attenuation appears to be far too severe compared to the light in the 3ds viewports/renders.

For instance, scene with a plane and a box, add an omni light and adjust the Far Attenuation to get a nice looking scene. Fire up the oFusion viewport, everything is the ambient color (or black ;)). Put in large values into the Far Attenuation box (such as 1000-3000 when you scene is around 128 units big) will produce light normaly.

I have all of the Hotfixes applied (or believe I do, including the one referenced above). Exporting the scene gives the large attenuation value in the .OSM file.

Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug? It makes generating accurate lightmaps more painful than it should be.
