about export skeleton animation problem

i want use 3dmax to make a fire engine with skeleton animation. but the fire engine is a little special,it has a mechanical arms,its arms can pull out just like a fish pole. i know my english is not good, so i attach some picture to illustrate my purpose.Now ,we export it with SceneNode Animation ,not Skeletal Animation (we use it in ogre),but we really want to export it with skeleton animation,the problem is we don't know how to bind bone to mechanical arms in 3dmax, because its arms just like fish pole, some section is overlaped,when animated it pull out. Can you tell me how to do it in 3dmax,and how to export it in ofusion,thank you!
