Anyone know what could be wrong?

Click on viewport and change the mode to DirectX instead of OpenGL. That should fix it.

Post here the ogre.log file that is created in your max root folder, at the time of that issue

When installing, did you select the max root folder as the installation directory?

Thanks changing it to open GL worked =)
