Changing the reflection in the Ocean sample max file(SOLVED)

For some reason I can't seem to change the cubemap that is reflected in the ocean water.

Since all the media is included I figured that I'd only have to export a new DDS cubemap strip that matches the layout of the existing file and it would simply work.

That doesn't seem to be the case. All I get is a rippled blue plane when I swap the cubemap.

I saved the new cubemap over the old one with the nvidia DDS export plugin, tried both DXTC1 no mipmaps and all and 5 mipmaps.

Also tried a PNG version.

Are those the same format details as the snow.dss file?

There are some issues with ogre engine and some dds files, but if you are using the same format and the same properties for the cubemap then it should work

What are the contents of the ogre.log file (about loading your cubemap file) when this issue is present?

OK I looked into the original snow.DDs a little more, installed the Nvidia image viewer and realised that the original loads as a strip in most 2D apps, but as a set of 6 seperate images in the viewer.

This made me investigate further and realise that you can save the DDS as an actual cubemap, and its a feature of the DDS.

Saving my strip of images as a cubemap instead of 2D map fixes my problem :)
