3dmax 7 mapping problems

My problem :
I am making a level with ofusion and 3dmax i am busy to texture my level but i get a problem if i change the perspective view to ofusion view i see some meshes/objects are moved or deleted :cry: please help me i am crying

Go to Utilities and apply the XForm Modifier to your Objects.
After that you might need to flip the normals on some of your objects.

i am texture my level but if i save and open again i get this type of texture :cry:



And another quistion how can i export my .mesh with only one mesh not all meshes alone

I´m having similar problems, I´m one pos below you. Read the answers other users have given to me and try with them.. may be you find a solution.

Hope I´ll found a solution to this.

Do some research on your own, OK? :)

Reset XForm does indeed work.

And if you want a single mesh, you should attach in MAX.
Read the d-o-c-u-m-e-n-t-a-t-i-o-n, find some basic MAX tutorials.
They're out there, you know. :wink:

if your just starting out, it may be worth waiting for the next build before doing serious work. It should be out soon and enable you to work without using reset Xform most of the time, letting you keep your modifier stack intact.

That's because the texture is not there. I am guessing that Ogre is rendering through OpenGL in that MAX window, and Ogre gives OpenGL a default "not-found" texture.

Are the textures in the scene objects stored locally? (i.e. make sure if they are in a network or other storage device that they are available and connected)

In any case, put your textures in the "maps" folder of your max installation, or put the location path of those in the resources.cfg file

This should be displayed like in your image only when the texture files are not available, did you move them to another folder?

i was trying to folow the tutorial in ofusion and i have this problem on the gt4.max example
when i go to modify tape and click on the Editable mish > element > then click the flip
the body does not act as the tutorial says .... any comments
this is how it looked !!!
