Deforming animations

Hey all,
I'm wondering if anyone can shed some light on a problem I'm having with animation exporting. Everything seems to export ok and my animations look fine in the oFusion viewer in Max 8 but when they are loaded into Ogre my animations completely deform. Arms and legs go every which way as if the body is being stretched in all directions.

The zombie and robot animations from Ogre load properly as well as some very simple versions of the animations I'm trying to export. It would seem that its not a problem with loading the animations into Ogre and instead it has to do with the exporting process.

So far my searches of the forums haven't turned up anything that directly matches my problem. Has anyone else encountered similar problems?

What version of the Ogre engine your application uses?

Are you using hardware skinning?
