I get nothing in the oF viewport with the new version (the previous version rendered incorrectly, as if it were borking the normals all over the place). Ogre.log says

Does oF have an issue with Biped animations?

Yes, I have the latest drivers. Yes, the Ogre demos all run exquisitely (as they would have had to, since I used this machine to compose the book). Yes, I completely wiped any trace of the old version from my machine prior to installing. The viewport shows up with the oF logo and Andres' name, but no mesh, nothing, in neither GL nor D3D. I am guessing that there is nothing in it, since it renders at the full empty-scene frame rate (650-700fps) that I get with other empty scenes on this machine, and no Max commands that would normally bring wayward models into the view have any effect.
