Often, when I work with oFusion the ogre viewport locks and will not update anymore. I have to save my work and restart 3dsmax. Is there a workaround to fix this problem. It is really annoying. Also this happens on 2 different computers : a laptop and a workstation.
Thanks

Unless your both machines have exactly the same configuration (the same video hardware, same drivers, same memory, same OS) where this issue can be reproduced, its mostly because you modified some original files (or they are modified because a wrong downloaded installation)
You cant modify any installed file (they are locked), not even the "oFusion" image file
If you have modified any installed file, you need to reinstall from the original installer

I *think* I can get it to freeze the viewport if I move geometry/lights round constantly for a while. Maybe with shadows on. It's not 100% recreatable but I think that does it.
btw you don't need to restart max. Just go to the viewport configuration and manually set oFusion back to perspective. Then you can set it back, so it quick.

This will happen when you modify the original files (specially the Logo image)
After a non-disclosed ammount of time, it will lock up as a protection
If the viewport locks up for another "legal" reason, you can press the hotkey for "User" view (usually the 'u' key) to switch to User view and then re-activate the preview viewport

I definitively did not change any files. =) I would not mess with my dev tools.
Vectrex : When my viewport locks up, I cannot right click on the viewport anymore so I can't change it back to normal perspective. Is there another way to do that?
And yes it does seem to happen when things are moving around a bit. For example it cannot stand the physX plugin (but it happened before I installed it) because the objects are moving around quite a bit when the joints and stuff and not set properly.
It does happen a lot to me also when I move the camera around the objects to view them from all angles. I also noticed that when I do that, the objects will flutter, move around and then get back to their positions. Like some kind of x-form bug.

Is there a way to know which version we are using?

In the Downloads page the release date is clearly marked at the side if the download link

Ok, I uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version of your plugin. It seems to be more stable. In fact after 30 minutes of playing around with PHYSX plugin everything runs fine.
Thanks for the help.
Juste a hint : the version number should be clearly visible on the filename you download and from somewhere inside the running plugin.
