oFusion Tutorial crash

I am trying to follow tutorial 1 and each time I try to do the step where I click on the "auto constant" checkbox in the projection matrix, it crashes. I can't seem to find an error log either. Here's how it goes, everytime. I start Max and create the scene with a torus and a light and start up the oFusion viewport.

Then I select the shader, enable it and try to change the properties.

Here's what happens when I click on the "auto constant" check box.

It's not very informative!

Yeah, the same is happening to a lot of us I belive. Anyway a hotfix (if I understood correctly) for this bug is already on its way...

nope... and by the looks of it ofusion CE has been broken for the last 25 days. Something must be wrong or unclear in the bug reports so I'll try to help.

To me it looks related to the recent naming convention changes... but what do I know?
please everyone: put your max version and any other important info here so the bug report is as clear as possible.

(I'm using MAX 7.0/XP sp2 32bit/nvidia 91.33 drivers/opengl viewport)

I've tried to run through the tutorial Lioric. It now crashes (with the same error message) when I click on the edit button under the Vertex Shader(Program) rollup.

I selected Ogre/BasicVertexPrograms/AmbientOneText and clicked on the Active toggle prior to trying to edit the shader program.

Test in what fashion? Simply changing the viewport to the built-in 3dmax viewport will not test this.

What makes you think this is an issue with the video hardware? It seems to be an application level crash associated with simply clicking on an edit button.

It's working fine for me know except that I get a 404 when I try to download the nm.dds file from the tutorial. I know this is a really noob-style question, but can I recreate that on my own from the nm files that come with Ogre?

No is not, its mostly related to your video hardware, post your ogre.log file produced after this issue

I had this exact same problem until I downloaded the hotfix and switched my viewport rendering from openGL to Direct3d and it worked fine afterwards. Not sure if the rendering driver was the issue but it's worth a shot.
