Btw i am experiencing an issue I didn't see it mentioned in the changelog. When exporting, if i select "flip normals" i cant seem to unselect it. And by this i mean:
1) Select flip normals. MOdel is exported with flipped normals (ok!)
2) Deselect flip normals. Model is exported with flipped normals (not ok)
3) Close and reopen export tab. Flip normals is checked.
It seems whatever internal variable is used to mirror this option is not properly turned off.
It's sort of a big deal since the export options are saved with the max file, so if you ever turn it on you are stuck with inverted normals forever.
I'll go check out 1.8 now

Does the OSM scene loader still work with this version's output?

The download is at the "Downloads" page of the main site (you may need to refresh your local page if your browser uses the cached page)
The "flip normals option" issue will be reviewed immediately
The current OSM scene loader fully supports this new version

Is this max9 only 32 bit compatible? I'm running the 64 bit version and I get errors while loading the dll-s

Thanks for the quick reply:)
Loading DLLs

DLL <D:\3dsmax9\PlugIns\oFusion.dle> failed to initialize.

DLL <D:\3dsmax9\PlugIns\oFusionCore.gup> failed to initialize.

1 question: if I had 1.6 installed for max8, was I supposed to uninstall it?
I was thinking that since it goes into different directories it shouldn't be a problem.

I uninstalled oFusion, reinstalled, still the errors occur

@Rockin: Is the "Max9 x64" option enabled (or visible) in your CE intaller?
The Eihort version is being tested, and will be available when the final Eihort version is released
Rockin

Nope, there isn't any x64 option visible..

Hi, any updates on the x64 issue? If not, is there an ETA?
I don't want to sound pushy, I just need this info to get my job done,

We use the professional edition of ofusion. Is it safe to assume that the latest professional version is also compatible with the latest max? Does the ofusion team always make the professional version available before the CE version?
Not quite sure what the process is.

Yes, the Pro version users can get the fixes and new features as soon as they are implemented, and its compatible with the latest max version
For CE version, they are added in a cumulative update every few months

So, if the last update was Feb 27, when's the update that supports skinned meshes?
I dearly wish I had the $ to spend on Pro, but as it is, I'm just experimenting with things, using an ADN copy of Max so it's not a case of "well you paid $3,000 for Max" -- I wish I had that money to spend, too!. (FWIW, ADN copies can't be used for production use.)
